Privacy Policy
We investigate human connection. The least we can do is respect yours.
FondlyFreddy — fondlyfreddy.com
FondlyFreddy is a publication about human connection. It would be strange — and wrong — to handle your personal data with anything less than the same care we ask our readers to bring to their own relationships. This policy is written to be read, not to discourage reading.

What data we collect and why
When you subscribe to the newsletter
We collect your email address. That's it. We use it to send you FondlyFreddy content — one piece every two weeks. We do not collect your name unless you provide it voluntarily. We do not require it.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given at the moment of subscription. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email we send you.
When you contact us directly
If you email fondlyfreddy@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use this only to respond to you. We do not add you to the newsletter list without your explicit request to be added.
When you enquire about an experience or event
We may ask for your name, email address, and brief context about who you are and what you're building. This information is used only to determine whether the experience is a good fit and to communicate with you about it. It is never shared with other attendees or third parties without your knowledge.
Website analytics
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which content resonates. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not build profiles of individual visitors. If we use any analytics tool, it will be one that complies with GDPR by default — such as Fathom or Plausible.
What we do not do
– We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
– We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
– We do not use your data to serve you advertising.
– We do not use your data to build a commercial profile of you.
– We do not contact you about anything unrelated to FondlyFreddy without your explicit consent.
Who has access to your data
Your email address is stored in Ghost, the publishing platform we use to manage the newsletter and website. Ghost is GDPR-compliant and processes data in accordance with European data protection law. You can read Ghost's privacy policy at ghost.org/privacy.
From time to time, we may migrate our newsletter and subscriber list to a different publishing or email platform if doing so better serves the publication and its readers. If this happens, your email address will be transferred to the new platform. We will notify subscribers by email before any such migration takes place, and you will always have the option to unsubscribe before the transfer occurs. Any new platform we use will be required to meet the same GDPR compliance standards as Ghost.
No other third parties have access to your personal data unless required by law.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email address for as long as you remain a subscriber. When you unsubscribe, your data is deleted from our active list. If you request complete deletion of your data, we will action that within 30 days. Email fondlyfreddy@gmail.com to make that request.
Your rights under GDPR
As a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
– The right to access the personal data we hold about you
– The right to correct inaccurate data
– The right to request deletion of your data
– The right to withdraw consent at any time
– The right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit) at gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be
To exercise any of these rights, write to fondlyfreddy@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Ghost uses essential cookies to keep the website functioning — for example, to remember that you are logged in as a subscriber. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify subscribers.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we will notify subscribers by email before those changes take effect. Minor clarifications will be reflected in an updated version of this page with a revised date at the top.
